I’m at season 3! I would have watched way more but I took my time with it. Glenn talked about Modern Family in poly but I was all about How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, then. I started on it when they are on their 6th season. The first episode got me hooked because of all the different kinds of marriages.
My favourite character is Phil Dunphy played by Ty Burrell. Whatever he says is so funny because is so unexpected. It’s always like this with sitcoms, they do this thing then you sort of expect the ‘unexpected’ and Modern Family gives those scenes but in a really witty way. Phil is a really happy guy and weirdly innocent. I just thought about how Luke (his son) does stupid things and he either joins or starts those things and I laughed.
It’s not just funny, though. Most of the episodes teaches you things. I remember once I had a fight with my mom and I saw an episode on Mother’s Day the next day. The one I saw today, had words I really like.
There are dreamers and there are realists in this world. You think the dreamers would find the dreamers and the realists would find the realists but more often than not, the opposite is true. You see, the dreamers need the realists to keep them from soaring too close to the sun. And the realists? Well, without the dreamers, they might not ever get off the ground.
This thinking is probably everywhere already but the episode really brings out the quote.
One more episode before I sleep!
